James Carroll is the founder and CEO of THOR Photomedicine, the company behind NovoTHOR. He left school at 16 with no qualifications and went on to become a Fellow of the Royal Society of Medicine and a research collaborator with Harvard Medical School. He co-founded LumiThera, which secured FDA approval for the first treatment for dry macular degeneration, and THOR devices are now in roughly 200 hospitals worldwide, including St. Jude, Memorial Sloan Kettering and Mayo.
