  1. Lesia Cruz says:

What was the time of your treatment with the 10hz pulsed and did you do any infrared light?

We have the Bioflex lasers and we have been treating the brain with patients that are depressed with results.

Is your study only on rats or humans?

Any other words of wisdom for someone with addictions?

What was the time of your treatment with the 10hz pulsed
      12 MINUTES (720 SECONDS)
      research abstract here http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/?term=22028832

and did you do any infrared light?
      IT WAS 810nm SO YES

MICE. ONE OF THE REASONS we do rodent studies is because the effective and safe limits need to be established. The sweet spots (effective treatment parameters) are quite hard to find in acute TBI, especial for cognitive deficits vs motor deficits. We have found two therapeutic windows in mice at 60mW/cm2 and 150mW/cm2. Timing makes a big difference too (how soon after injury). Treatment immediately post injury is much better than 1 hour or 4 hours. When I compare that with the LED treatment of two chronic human cases reported by Margaret Naeser I am baffled by how little light it takes to have what appears to be an important clinical effect. One of our customers published a single in the BMJ with our LED cluster on a chronic stroke patient. I know the immense amount of work that Photothera went to in the lab and with cadaver studies etc to establish the safe and effective parameters and they were nowhere near the low irradiance parameters of LED devices.

      CALL AA.
No seriously … actually AA is rather good, and counselling is an important part of addiction treatments i am told.
HERE IS the only successful placebo controlled study I know of with LLLT

  2. Ralph says:

Is there anywhere I can find patient testimonials on this treatment for tbi’s. Is there any studies done on this for humans several years after a tbi injury?

  3. Patrick says:

This is all very fascinating especially the 14 day straight reversal for the frequency of use. I’m using the igrowlaser right now for new hair growth and it uses the same technology but I’m wondering if it’s a different wavelength for hair growth rather than brain repair. Interesting and great video!

    • Sandy says:

Patrick, the 14 day “reversal” as you call it is interesting. The effect is seems to be just like an overdose, maybe there is an accumulative effect.
As for your hair growth device, I think that model is all red wavelengths so they will not penetrate the skull so well as the 810nm which seems to be the preferred wavelength by most researchers for transcranial treatments.

  4. Troy Ottwell says:

Mr. Carroll, is there any information or studies about whole body cold laser therapy. I seem to recall a medical clinic that published some information on the internet about stroke rehab.

My own experience with a stroke client required a 6 month weekly protocol before I could see a lot of progress. My client had his stroke 3 years previously . I suspect whole body therapy would have provided greater results. Do you have a similar product…whole body cold laser “bed” or “table”?

Looking forward to the next laser update…
