Dwight Heron, former director of oncology at UPMC International, co-founded REDjuvenate LLC, a company that uses photobiomodulation to treat skin problems, muscle aches and pains and other issues.
Dr. Heron, a noted radiation oncologist, said he is finishing his UPMC career with a six-month sabbatical. Dr. Heron’s center is the first in the region to use NovoTHOR equipment.
“After a few treatments, you begin seeing the effect,” Dr. Heron said about photobiomodulation therapy. “We think there’s some real opportunities here.”
